In any case, this script requires BookMacster version 1.9.9 or later. #Netnewswire login mac os x#To do that, open this script in AppleScript Editor (called simply Script Editor in earlier Mac OS X versions), click in the menu: File ▸ Save As, and then choose the desired file type from the popup at the bottom of the sheet. For some launchers, you may prefer or need to launch it as either a modern script bundle (.scptd) or an application (.app) instead. This file has been saved as an old-fashioned script (.scpt) because NetNewsWire does not seem to recognize modern script bundles (.scptd) when populating its Scripts menu. Alternatively, you may run it from QuicKeys, LaunchBar, or your favorite script launcher. You may put this script in your NetNewsWire Scripts folder. This app's three-paned, Mail-like interface presents a shallow learning curve, with an intuitive system for flagging, organizing, and reading news feeds-as simple previews or as full articles with NetNewsWire's integrated browser (or you can set articles to open in your preferred browser). Recent updates leave the interface largely unchanged but notably add the ability to sync with the popular Google Reader service, while eliminating NetNewsWire's old NewsGator service. You can now subscribe to Twitter searches or mentions as a feed directly in NetNewsWire. NetNewsWire is a serious RSS newsreader, a feature-filled desktop app specifically designed for voracious news consumers who want more RSS features than Safari and Mail provide. ![]()
